Judith Dixon

Judith Dixon, has been painting, over a
number of years,and has painted
professionally for the last 10.
Her flower paintings, are big and bold.

Judith has sold many paintings , in New
Zealand, Canada, U.S.A.and in Europe
especially Germany.
Having taught Ballet for many years in
Hamilton, she retired to live at the
Coromandel holiday resorts of Tairua and
Cooks Beach, she painted the seascapes
that the area is renowned for, and sold
them at local exhibitions and galleries.
A recent trip to England, France and
the Middle Eastern city of Istanbul, has
added a new dimention to her work, which
includes water colours of the country
side in these areas painted on location.

When she spent 6weeks in Outback
Queensland, Australia Exploring for Gem
stones,She found that the density, of
sunshine and tropical birds and flowers
needed the bright colors of acrylic
and oils. A Collection of paintings with
a new energy, and completely original in
interpretation, was completed, on her
return to New Zealand.
Filled with colour her works, are
imaginative, and loosely constructed.

To amuse her grandchildren, 10 years ago
Judith created, her Kiwi collection of
humorous, little Kiwis. Which are
continually selling as cards, prints,
and T/shirts.
Her kiwis “Podge and Pokey”, also travel
well, with Gold panning ,and Cycling
kiwis, and Backpacking Kiwis, and Skiing
Kiwis, for tourists all over the world.
